Discussion of strategic plans for the Arab Capital of Culture 2009 with various representative groups.
On Thursday April 17th, a meeting were held at the Arab Thought Forum to discuss projects for the festival of Jerusalem as Capital of Arab Culture 2009. Several groups attended, each representing a sector of the celebrations. There were meetings with representatives from fine art, literature, writing, performing arts, sports and heritage.
In total, over sixty people attended the meetings. The executive office was also represented and presented their plans for the festival. A working group and coordinator was selected for each sector to liaise between interested parties and the National Authority.
This meeting comes two weeks after one held at the office of the President in Ramallah where plans were discussed with Mr. Rafiq Husseini, head of the President‘s office and Mr. Bassem Masri, director of the executive office.
