Supporting Jerusalem's institutions


Supporting the Jerusalem‘s institutions, was the topic of a round table meeting organized between the Arab Thought Forum, the Development Studies Center (Beir Zeit University) and The Civic Coalition for Defending the Palestinians’ Rights in Jerusalem.

The meeting took place on May 19th, 2007. Among the speakers were; Azzam Abu al-Saoud, Rana Nashashibi and Emad al-Jauni, the meeting were moderated by Abdel Rahman Abu Arafeh.

During the discussion, the participants spoke about the obstacles facing civil institutions in Jerusalem as related to restrictions, taxes, support and the economic crisis. The need for more cooperation among Jerusalem institutions was highly recommended as a means for empowering civil society and its institutions.
